Album: Them Crooked Vultures
Them Crooked Vultures is a quite right out of the oven "rock supergroup" who's debut album was released late last year, the band consists of Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) on guitar and vocals, Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) on drums and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) on bass and keyboard.
(Alain Johannes also appears on live performances.)
Right off the bat, let me just say that I was quite blown away by this lineup, as it was quite a coincidence with me just getting into QOTSA and Foo Fighters again right by the time they were making this album.
So a spot on collaboration in my books, Fucking A!
Anyway, like it's to be expected, TCV plays hard rock quite similiar to QOTSA with some elements of Foo Fighters.
In fact, it seems that the band's been quite busy since they've already announced the second album, which in Grohl's words will be "more powerful than the first one!" and John Paul Jones also said that the album should be out sometime in late 2010.
So, yeah, not much of a review here just decided to tell about this, because this could turn into something big, looking forward to hear more from these guys in the future.
